Yeah, I assumed an external box was necessary to "make it so". Also at the
moment,
I have no IDE-expansion on the mb (no extraneous leads etc.), so I wondered
what
sort of performance I'd get with an 040/40 and original IDE connector? Come
to think
of it I do have some IDE cable somewhere though so wouldn't need that. I
think I'll post
a new message 'cause I suppose this is OT.

Surely if games consoles are "acceptable" with similarly rated CPUs I agree
that there
is a market for such a "starter" system.
